Life Safety Fire Monitoring

We know that life safety is the basis for fire monitoring. We offer complete fire protection services for your customers.

Commercial Fire Monitoring offers dispatch upon receipt of a fire alarm signal and customizable notification on troubles, supervisories and missed timer tests. Signals are received in our UL Listed central stations equipped with receivers and equipment meeting UL standards. We strictly follow NFPA 72 Guidelines for fire accounts ensuring best practices are followed. Specially trained UL certified operators and dealer support representatives handle UL Fire accounts and comply with the local AHJ.

Call us to talk about UL Certificates.

How it Works

1. Life Safety System

Having the right fire system panel is critical. We're compatible with the following top-rated equipment and more:

  • Ademco
  • AES IntelliNet
  • DSC®
  • Fire-Lite®
  • Silent Knight®

2. Alarm Receivers

Fire accounts are on a receiver reserved solely for fire accounts and must comply with specific
UL requirements.
  • UL fire accounts follow guidelines set by NFPA Code 72, the local fire marshal or other AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction).
  •
  • CMS uses two top-tier carriers: AT&T® and Verizon®.
  •
  • When a prefix is set up for fire, we have at least two numbers, each from a different carrier, meeting the NFPA requirement for dual reporting methods.
  •
  • Our load capacity uses five receivers with 24 line cards each, in addition to our System 3 configuration.*

*Based on time studies.

3. Automation

Using UTC Mastermind, fire signals are assigned to operators with specific fire training to respond to commercial fire/NFPA fire signals. Only operators who have passed our training for UL Fire respond to UL Fire accounts. Fire signals hold the highest priority in our monitoring platform, Mastermind.

4. Response

When a signal is received by an operator, they're working on a strict time line and follow specific guidelines set by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).
